Many of us sign up to the gym with a vision of getting fit and slimming down, only to find motivation quickly drops away, as do results.
If you have struggled to make a regular gym work for you, perhaps it is time to give CrossFit Strength and Conditioning a try. Here are a few reasons why this way of working out can actually deliver the changes you have been looking for:
Us VS the Mainstream
First of all, We are about community.
The gym can more often than not be a solitary endeavour. We are quite the opposite. We work together to achieve our goals, to share success and encourage each other with quality Coaching.
You will find you become good friends with people at our Gym, even if you’re more used to working out alone. It is hard and intense work, and this spirit of camaraderie is part of what helps all our Athletes, from lifestyle to competitors maintain the performances they need to reach their peak. At a regular gym, you might come and go without interacting with a single person. This will never be the case within our facility.
Personal attention without the price tag
Another downside of the standard gym is feeling the need to hire a personal trainer. Though personal trainers can help you achieve great results, they do come with a hefty price tag.
At one of our regular CrossFit strength and conditioning classes not only will you work in a group, rather than one on one, there will likely be multiple trainers. The Coaches will spread their time out through the group, giving everyone the attention they need. Working as a group with a Coach can bring costs down considerably while bringing enjoyment factor up.
Training in a group can also be far more inspirational than working solo. To briefly get academic, there are two terms known to psychologists; ‘vicarious experience’ and ‘verbal persuasion’.
Vicarious experience may sound complex but it simply means seeing others achieve can help you to believe that you can achieve too.
Verbal persuasion is just what it sounds like; the encouragement of others. This means that beyond the intuitive idea that working together is helpful, there is actually strong psychological evidence that it really works.
Anti-injury safety net
Working in a group has benefits beyond encouragement. Working solo at a gym, there may not be anyone there to look out for your safety. Not to say gyms are unsafe or don’t do everything they can to prevent injury, but I believe we do it better.
What we do is intense and it is vital to your success that you work safely. There will always be other people at a session, including the Coach who will do their utmost to take care of your wellbeing.
Achieve more, faster
Along with all this, what we do provides quick life long sustainable healthy results. At a regular gym, you generally spend time targeting one area and then the next. This is great if you’re a bodybuilder, intent on sculpting each individual muscle, but if you’re looking for overall Health, Fitness, and weight loss, what we do, CrossFit, could be a better approach.
Our Strength and Conditioning workout’s multi-targeted system and high impact training sessions are quick and effective. They strip fat and build strength, while improving your metabolism and overall health.
For a powerful and effective workout, leave the standard mainstream gym behind and try out what we do, or a facility that also offers CrossFit in there Strength and Conditioning program. From the moment you walk in, you’ll find an amazing sense of community, Comradery and encouragement as you power towards your goals.
