I began CrossFit in late 2013 when my work opened up their own CrossFit box
I had previously tried it a couple of years beforehand but when I found a CrossFit box, I was very intimidated by all the fit people so didn’t worry about going until years later.
Before finding CrossFit I hosted sports activities and did dance rehearsals for the night shows, while I was overseas living in Mexico for two years.
If you could take one piece of exercise equipment with you to a deserted island, what would it be and why? it would be a bar, I can do all my body weight training and more.
I have always been sporty I would say, playing soccer and dancing.
Now outside the Box, I incorporate a lot of Calisthenics into my training, which I enjoying doing do outdoors when I can.
My favorite quote that says it all would have to be a quote from Aristotle…
“We are what we repeatedly do, excellence then is not an act, but a habit”
What is my favourite movie…
Bicentennial Man, The Notebook.
Burgers and Nutella, nom nom nom, my two favourite food that for sure.
My advice that I would give someone who is new to CrossFit…
Have fun, do what you can. We all started somewhere, it’s your commitment, that will prove how much you want to change.
2019, my training goal…
I want to master a one arm handstand, freestanding handstand push-ups, improve my overall fitness and increase my Olympic lifts.
Someone who is better than me whether it’s physically (fitness) or mentally (mindset + knowledge), those are the people I want to surround myself with and absorb everything they have to offer. That’s who inspire me
